Cephalonomia tarsalis failed to complete development at 15 and 37.5 °C.
Rate of development increased linearly with temperature within 17.5–30 °C.
We estimated lower and upper developmental thresholds and the thermal constant.
Increased mortality was recorded at extreme temperatures (<20 and >30 °C).
The theory of “developmental rate isomorphy” is still under question for C. tarsalis.
