We provided a ECR delineation method based on the persistence of a species with population range, current and future habitat needs. Our study makes ECR delineation feasible and operational and strengthen its scientific support at better temporal and spatial scales. Our study may contribute to facilitate better zoning and implementation of ECR across China.
