An immersed particle modeling technique for the three-dimensional large strain simulation of particulate-reinforced metal-matrix composites

A particle-based immersed meshfee Galerkin method is presented for the particulate-reinforced composite modeling and analysis.

The present method does not rely on the conforming mesh for the spatial discretization.

The formulation covers large deformation and material non-linearity for the composite analysis.

A feasibility of the present method in terms of efficiency for the three-dimensional problem is demonstrated.

Accuracy is validated in comparison with existing numerical methods.
