Eucalyptus grandis wood extractives from Portugal, Brazil and South Africa were studied. 3 Triterpenic acids were identified for the first time in E. grandis wood from Brazil. 51 Phenolic compounds identified in E. grandis woods, 11 of them for the first time. Woods from Portugal and Brazil with higher lipophilic and phenolic content, respectively. Geographic origin plays a significant role on both lipophilic and phenolic composition.
