Fungal xylanase xyn11A was codon-optimized and expressed in Pichia pastoris X33. Constitutive expression of Xyn11A was achieved in both shake flasks and bioreactor. Biochemical characterization of Xyn11A revealed superior properties of Xyn11A. Bioreactor study was performed to study the potential of mass production of Xyn11A.
