Two Pliocene archeological sites, LA1 and LA2C, reported from Lokalalei, west of Lake Turkana in Kenya, were previously placed at approximately the same stratigraphic level. LA2C actually lies about 20m higher in the section than LA1, and is perhaps as much as 100,000 years younger in age.
