Electrochemical synthesis of hierarchal flower-like hierarchical In2O3/ZnO nanocatalyst for textile industry effluent treatment, photo-voltaic, OH scavenging and anti-bacterial studies
Flower-like In2O3/ZnO nanocrystallites were synthesized via electrochemical technique. BET studies suggest these crystals have 86.6 m2 g_1 surface area and mean pore diameter of 6.92 nm. Industrial effluent degradation rate achieved 98% under optical photocatalysis conditions. The OH generated in the Fenton reaction are the primary active radicals. A linear correlation is drawn between OH scavenging, photo-catalytic and anti-bacterial activity.
