A novel set up with exposures in two different boilers have been conducted to study dynamic corrosion mechanisms in a unique way. A positive corrosion memory effect of a non-corrosive deposit despite the problems with spallation could be observed. The corrosive deposit formed after the exposure in the highly corrosive environment did not show any effect when exposed again in a moderately corrosive environment.
