All components of piezo-optic tensor of lead molibdate crystals were determined. Optical path change (per mechanical stress unit) is large (24.9 Br). Anisotropy of piezo-optic effect was studied by indicative surface method. Maximal coefficient of acousto-optic quality is 39⋅10−15 s3/kg.
