Green up-conversion emission due to the transition in PbMoO4:Er3+ crystals under 980 nm continuous wave laser excitation was observed. The dependences of the PL intensities at the 548 nm wavelength as functions of an excitation power and a movement of an excitation beam along a crystal lateral side at an invariable PL detection position were measured, as well as similar measurements for a movement of a PL detection position at an invariable position of an excitation beam were carried out. The calculation model to determine the green PL intensity depending on the relative locations of an excitation beam position and a PL detection position has been proposed. Comparison of experimental and calculated data of the PL intensity allowed to estimate the values of loss coefficients at 548 and 980 nm wavelengths.
