The samples of pure and 10% vanadium-doped LiMnPO₄ have been synthesized by the solid-state reaction technique. The results of Raman and infrared absorption spectroscopy show that the vanadium atoms replace phosphorus giving rise to LiMn(PO₄)_{1鈭?/sub>x(VO4)x solid solutions. This conclusion is confirmed by the first-principle studies.}
