Occurrence of 18 PPCPs in landfill leachate collected in Shanghai was determined. Concentrations of some PPCPs in the leachate were higher than in other countries. Good removal of PPCPs in landfill leachates was achieved by membrane bioreactor. Concentrations of some PPCPs were still high in the treated landfill leachates.
