We examined relationships between context-specific behavioural traits and personality traits in pet dogs.
Several trait clusters were found, which included personality traits and context-specific traits.
‘Neuroticism’, ‘Extraversion’ and ‘Behavioural Regulation’ were analogous to traits previously described in animals.
Some trait correlations varied significantly between owner groups with different levels of dog-related work experience.
