Many types of relationship between offline personality and avatar are possible. Avatar customisation does not depend on personality traits or users' preference. Avatar may be customised as related to or distant from offline personality. Avatar distant from offline personality embodies less socially desirable traits. Avatar distant from offline personality discourages avatar identification.
