This is the first fishmeal plant detailed LCA. Key generic LCI and LCIA results are made available to other practitioners. The construction and maintenance phases contributed to >10% the ReCiPe single score. Using natural gas instead of heavy fuel reduces by 30–41% the ReCiPe single score. Residual fishmeal impacts are more important than higher quality fishmeal.
