The sensing material perylene diimide (d-THBPDI) with low reduction potential was synthesized by Sonogashira coupling reaction.

The film device fabricated by d-THBPDI was easy fabricated by solution processing methods.

The d-THBPDI based film device exhibits ultrafast response towards hydrazine.

This film device is based on the redox mechanism, which relative to the reduction potential of the sensing material.
