Magnetic nano-composites (MNCs) were prepared with natural and acid-activated sepiolites. Parameters of co-precipitation were varied to achieve high magnetization and Cd2 + adsorption. All MNCs at room temperature show superparamagnetic behavior. Adsorption capacities of the MNCs were higher than of pure compounds. MNCs prepared with NaOH had lower magnetization, but higher adsorption capacities than MNCs obtained with NH3.
