The global integration and local specialization of the white matter networks were disrupted in non-NPSLE patients. The brain regions with significantly altered nodal properties were mainly involved in language, visual, and DMN systems. The properties of some identified regions presented negative correlations with the SLE disease activity index scores. The distribution pattern of the hubs measured by nodal degree was altered in the non-NPSLE patients. The non-NPSLE group exhibited a subnetwork of decreased connectivity and a subnetwork of increased connectivity.
