Secondary analyses of 2010 Healthcare Utilization Project National ED Sample from 4,253,987 injured elderly patients. PD more strongly related to fracture in non-fall than fall-related injuries. PD correlated with resource use, especially if injury fall-related. No association of PD with in-hospital death was observed.
