The phenolic fraction of Retama sphaerocarpa grains and stems was studied. 42 phenolics were identified, 31 of them firstly reported as R. sphaerocarpa components. Stems showed considerably higher content of phenolic compounds. Stems extracts presented relevant antioxidant and antibacterial activities.
