Many neighborhoods: Phonological and perceptual neighborhood density in lexical production and perception
详细信息    查看全文
文摘

Phonological neighborhood density (PND) affects perception and pronunciation.

We examine effects of PND vs. perceptual similarity to other words (“Phi density”).

PND affects word durations and recognition accuracy.

Perceptual similarity to other words affects recognition, but not production.

PND effects on pronunciation are not due to perceptual similarity.
