Dynamics of droplet motion induced by electrowetting was investigated. Transient responses of the droplet to EW excitation were measured by high-speed photography. Numerical models were developed to incorporate a MKT-based dynamic contact angle model. Dynamics of EW-actuated droplet motion follows the behavior of a second order dynamic system.
