Dual-energy mammography based on a photon-counting detector was simulated. Radiation dose and image quality were evaluated for optimizing the proposed technique. The proposed technique reduced radiation dose as well as improved image quality. The proposed technique was optimized at the radiation dose of 1.09 mGy.
