Carbon neutral or a sink? Uncertainty caused by gap-filling long-term flux measurements for an old-growth boreal black spruce forest

The Northern Old Black Spruce forest in Manitoba Canada is a small carbon sink. Four gap-fill methods gave 4 to 48 g carbon m−2 y−1 as a 14-year average. One year of data with a single gap-fill method cannot estimate long-term averages.
