SiO2/PCL quercetin class I organic–inorganic hybrids were synthesized via sol–gel.

The formation of apatite on materials' surface after SBF proved their bioactivity.

The biocompatibility of the hybrids was proved by the MTT cytotoxicity assay.

The radical scavenging properties of the hybrids were shown by DPPH and ABTS assays.
