A novel approach is presented for simplifying transient analysis of the natural gas network. PSO and CA algorithms are utilized for obtaining the correct inlet flow rates of the gas network. The obtained inlet flow rates are used to calculate flow variables throughout the network. Simulation results verify the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approach.
