Six dimeric chalcone derivatives have been isolated from the roots of Uvaria siamensis. The structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. The dimeric chalcones showed strong antiplasmodial activity. A possible biosynthesis pathway of the dimeric chalcone from the mono chalcone was described.
