Myxoid liposarcomas of the foot are exceedingly rare and show a good prognosis in most cases of our cohort.
They are biologically different from other (lipo)sarcomas with high radio- and chemosensitivity and the tendency to metastasize to extrapulmonary sites.
Benign myxoid lesions/fatty lesions with myxoid changes and other sarcomas should be ruled out.
