Effect of heterogeneous hydrolysis of N2O5 on aerosol pollution in Beijing, China is studied. The hydrolysis has important effect on the formation of nitrate (NO3−) and ammonium (NH4+) during pollution days. During low-pollution periods, the effect of hydrolysis of N2O5 is insignificant. A regional dynamical/chemical model WRF-Chem is applied.
