Radiolarian assemblages in the World Ocean comprise six major biogeographic Domains. All Domains, except one centered on the eastern equatorial Pacific, are circumglobal. Temperature is the environmental trait most closely associated with biogeography. The biogeography of Radiolaria is similar to those of other pelagic organisms. Taxonomic partitions differ from those based on chlorophyll a and physical traits.
