Ultra-lubricated surface of Ti6Al4V fabricated with combination of porous TiO2 layer, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene film and hydrophilic polymer brushes
Composite coating of superlubricity was prepared on the surface of Ti6Al4V. Surface composition, wettability and tribological properties were investigated. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene film and polymer brushes induced the ultra-low friction coefficient of 0.02. Composite coating was effective in improving wear resistance.
