VP1, the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of IBDV, interacts with the host full-length eIF4AII. Overexpression of eIF4AII inhibits IBDV growth; knockdown of eIF4AII enhances IBDV growth. eIF4AII inhibits IBDV growth via inhibiting VP1 polymerase activity.
