Meloidogyne incognita is the most prevalent species in Kenyan sweet potato fields. Other Meloidogyne species in Kenyan sweet potato fields are M. hapla and M. enterolobii. Forty nine out of 72 sweet potato varieties that were tested were very resistant to M. incognita.
