Different alkaline-sodium-phosphate powders doped with Pr3+ have been fabricated.

Change in quantitative composition leads to modification in luminescence behavior.

Kubelka–Munk function analysis has been performed.

The strong enhance of emission in red spectral scope has been observed.

Upon 445 nm excitation, NaCaPO4:Pr3+ phosphor can be used as a promising material for red emission.
