Study of the influence of the elasticity of the fluid on the flow characteristics for different key parameters. Location and length of the heating and cooling zones have a significant contribution on the flow variation which causes maximum heat and mass transfer. The rate of heat transfer is found to be maximum on minimizing the heat source length and maximizing the power paw index. The mass transfer rate is decreased with the increase of Richardson number, but it is increased with movement of the source location from lower left to middle at low Reynolds number. The maximum variation of heat and mass transfer is observed with increment of power law index from 0.2 to 1.0 with lower right and upper middle active locations.
