Syntheses of bis[N-2-(R-pyridyl)salicylaldiminato-κ2NˆO]copper(II) (RH, 4/6-CH3). Quasi-reversible two electrons charge transfer processes for Cu(II)/Cu(I) and Cu(I)/Cu(0), respectively in acetonitrile. EPR spectrum showing an isotropic pattern with four lines from copper(II) with spin 3/2. DFT/TDDFT simulations correspond well to the experimental results.
