Mixed convection in lid driven cavity with heated triangular block is studied numerically.

The study is carried out for range of Re, Pr and Gr numbers.

Numerical simulation is performed for thermal condition of CHF.

Average Nusselt number show increase only up to Re = 180–220.

Triangular body inserted in lid driven cavity can control convection heat transfer.
