The problem of speeding behavior on rural roads was considered. A questionnaire on the determinants of speeding was developed and validated. Distinction between the attitudinal and normative components was supported. The view that speeding violation is both intentional and habitual was supported. Speeding behavior was substantially influenced by the personal norm. Lesser role of habit in predicting speeding intention and behavior was identified.
