An ‘unkindness’ of ravens? Measuring prosocial preferences in Corvus corax

Most studies of prosociality in nonhuman animals have focused on primates. We examined whether ravens act to provide food to their group mates. Ravens were not prosocial towards partners, regardless of their relationship. Instead, subjects stopped responding on trials when they received no rewards.
