Evaluating the usefulness of freezing preparation for the macroscopic investigation in advanced putrefied brain. The freezing preparation needed more than 14 h. The freezing group afforded greater clarity in the gray-white matter inspection than the ordinary procedure. Postmortem CT was also useful in the investigation of putrefied brain, and also in deciding whether to use freezing preparation.
