A mechanistic model for hydrogen production through photo-fermentation was developed. Three different light intensities and optimal conditions of T and pH were applied. Contribution plots determined the variables that most affect hydrogen production. MPCA and SVM were applied into a methodology for developing classification models. Data-based classification models supported the mechanistic model validation.
