PRL-L is widely expressed in the chicken ovary. PRL-L expression declines in granulosa cells during follicular maturation. FSH and PRL regulate transcription of PRL-L in undifferentiated granulosa cells. FSH stimulates PRL-L expression via activation of multiple signaling pathways. PRL-L may act as a novel target of FSH signaling in chicken granulosa cells.
