Moose-vehicle collisions (MVCs) are an important traffic safety risk in boreal areas. We found that MVCs increased with increasing moose population size and traffic. The total number of moose collisions was highest during the autumn or winter. The probability of being injured in MVCs was highest in spring, summer, and autumn.
