The method derives the batch leach curve from heap leaching production data. It provides for the case where irrigation commences while stacking is in progress. An early indication is thus obtained of the ultimate production rate to be reached. The method relies on fitting an integral of function Xi(t) to the production data. The parameters in Xi(t) are related to aspects of the metallurgical performance.
