A label-free, homogenous assay for detection of protein is established by BI-SDA. The signal DNA is released through binding-induced DNA strand-displacement. The signal DNA hybridizes with the hairpin DNA probe and triggers the SDA. The BI-SDA product can be reported by the fluorescence of NMM. This is the first report of BI-SDA for homogenous assay for protein, which opens a new avenue for protein assay.
