Energy and protein requirements of Angus and Nellore young bulls were investigated. The MEm were 0.580 MJ/kg BW0.75·d−1 for Angus and 0.456 MJ/kg BW0.75·d−1 for Nellore. The net requirements for growth were not different between breeds.
