Galli acid (GA) was nanoencapsulated in poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanoparticles.
Influence of polysorbate 80 (PS80) coating in nanoparticles parameters was evaluated.
Mean particle size was 220 nm and GA encapsulation efficiency was around 25%.
PLGA nanoparticles containing GA presented a very negligible hemolysis, but not PS80 coated nanoparticles.
PS80 coating decreased the antioxidant activity of GA.
