Characterization of microbial population of breba and main crops (Ficus carica) during cold storage: Influence of passive modified atmospheres (MAP) and antimicrobial extract application
Microbial population of packed fig fruits during cold storage was characterized. Effect of MAP and an antimicrobial extract on fungal control were observed. Pseudomonas gessardii was the main bacteria species found in all packing conditions. Aureobasidium pulullans was the main species of yeast found in all the treatments. Cladosporium cladosporioides was the dominant species of mould found in fig fruits.
