We present a new method to study the terminal sensitive branchs of the pudendal nerve. To ellicit the response, an endorectal stimulation of the pudendal nerve (near the ischiatic spine) is done with the St Marks hospital electrode, and the potential recorded on the gland. Five responses are necessary to ellicit the response, with a mean latency of 5.6 milliseconds and an mean amplitude of 2.5 microvolts. This method allow a comparative analysis of right and left terminal sensitive branchs of pudendal nerve. It will be certainly interesting to use this method in the diagnosis of different perineal disorders (eg, sexual dysfunctions, perineal pain by pudendal nerve focal compression, stretch perineal neuropathy).
