Activation of CB2R is anti-inflammatory in a dispase model of PVR. CB2R activation reduces retinal microglia numbers and decreases PVR pathology. CB2R absence or blockade exacerbates ocular inflammation and PVR pathology. Absence of CB2R elevates inflammatory mediators in PVR.
